THE DAILY GRIND

We may have what seems to be an odd weekly routine at our house.  I work and am at home with Alex and the dogs while Bob works away from home during the week.  He drives a tractor trailer long haul and that takes him away from us many days at a time.  He is usually home for the weekends and holidays.

I think it's important to remember that while he is away, Bob is unable to share in the ups and downs of everyday life.  When he first went on the road, I helped his son, Alex, and daughter, Sonya, make a weekly newsletter detailing what happened during the week in an attempt to keep him involved and aware.  The kids and I enjoyed preparing that for him.  And Bob enjoyed and appreciated it as well.

Now we're moving our newsletter to the internet where Bob can access it any day of the week in order to find out what we're up to.  The purpose of this page is to provide space for a blog that I can maintain which will keep him updated on the happenings AT HOME.  You can also visit the blog BOB maintains on his page or the blogs that RUDY (our Chihuahua) and MOLLEE (our mutt) update about what is happening in their lives.  Although we're just normal, boring folks, we hope you'll enjoy our attempts to keep each other informed about what's happening AT HOME, ON THE ROAD, and IN THE DOGHOUSE.
